Design storage racks plan first and then ask for a quotation

Before customizing storage racks, some customers are used to asking how much the price is, and they must know the specific price before considering whether they need to continue to talk about it. But some customers are different. They need to design a plan first, understand the number of columns, beams, laminates, supports, bottom corners, etc. used in the whole warehouse racking project, and discuss the quotation only when the whole structure is suitable and meets their needs.

In fact, it’s fine to know the approximate price as a reference first, but it’s not very referential for large customized projects, because it involves problems such as architecture, quantity, parts, supporting equipment, logistics, transportation, installation, etc., so it’s not easy to do a more accurate price evaluation without a systematic scheme.

For example, we have a customer who wants to customize the pallet rack mezzanine systems. At first, he asked us to give him a rough price. We suggested that he provide the dimensions of the warehouse and do the scheme design first. He insisted that he didn’t need to, so we gave him a price.

After a few days, he asked about the specific number of columns, beams, laminates, back pulling, etc., but because there was no design plan, we could not give the specific number.

Later, he provided the warehouse specifications, and the design scheme was evaluated. The price was higher than the rough quotation. But before that, he had already told the leader about the unit price, including the approximate quotation asked by other warehouse storage rack factories. In this way, there will be some differences between the front and back quotations.

Therefore, we suggest that before customizing the industrial storage racks, you should at least determine the general plan and then ask for a quotation, which will be much more accurate than any quotation.
