When it comes to storage pallet racking purchasing, many companies have separate purchasing departments, and the actual users are warehouse staff. Then, for example, the user of the customized storage pallet racking may be the clearest about the effect they want to achieve, while the purchase department personnel may not be sure. So in this case, we suggest that the purchasing department should communicate with the warehouse users about the specific design scheme before purchasing. We can communicate effectively according to the following aspects.
The first is the communication about the position of the pallet racking system. Some warehouses need to leave a large space for trucks to enter and unload, and need to use logistics trucks and other turnover tools to store goods. If the reserved location is not enough or the location is not right, it will affect the work efficiency of later users.
Next is the warehouse pallet racking system specification. Just like a customer of our customized and carton live racking when they go to see the site, they are from the purchasing department and our engineers. At that time, they didn’t explain the stored items clearly, so they said that it would be better to design according to the previous specifications.
After the scheme comes out, the purchasing department orders directly without confirming the scheme to the warehouse user department. As a result, shelf size is not applicable. The pallets placed in the customer warehouse are soft bottomed pallets, which need to be 1000 wide and planked. So it’s troublesome to solve this problem later.
There are also some problems in the use and operation of the warehouse pallet racking system, especially the pallet racking stored and picked up by forklifts or other storage equipment, which need to be clearly communicated with the users. If it’s manual access, it’s not a big problem, but it’s necessary to communicate with each other so as not to cause trouble for both parties.
