Drive in racking, also called drive through racking, is a kind of storage racking system.
The drive in rack is a heavy duty high rack, which can be designed to be more than 10 meters high and can bear more than 2 tons. A very obvious advantage is that it belongs to the intensive storage rack. There is no need to design a channel before each row of racks. Forklift trucks enter into the cargo lane to collect goods, which greatly saves the warehouse space, increases the number of storage spaces and improves the storage rate.
Drive in racking and radio shuttle racking have similar structure, both belong to intensive storage racking system. The difference is that radio shuttle racking uses shuttle to transport goods, which belongs to semi-automatic racking. Drive in racking is a storage racking that uses forklift to access goods directly, and its cost is relatively lower than radio shuttle racking. These two kinds of storage racks require uniform specifications and single category of goods, which are widely used in the food cold storage industry.
